Range Management Internships

Co-taught by Doug Green, Associate Professor and faculty head in Science and Mathematics in the College of Letters and Sciences, and Eddie Alford, retired Lecturer in Science and Mathematics in the College of Letters and Sciences

Four interns were chosen from the range management program. The students worked closely with the ranch staff for 5 days during the spring semester. The internships were designed to assist with real-world issues relating to the development of Roden Crater and its environment. The first group of interns focused on creating a multi-layered map of the region, including fence lines, weather patterns, locations of water and vegetation. The map will help to inform decision making for Roden Crater facilities construction and ranching operations.
